Chief Executive Officer - Board Member
Lou Malice has worked in the field of medical device research and development, manufacturing, supply chain management, quality and regulatory and IT for more than 30 years. He is now an active consultant in the Atlanta medical device community. Mr. Malice recently retired from his position as COO of Endochoice, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of products serving gastro- intestinal professionals. Lou is a native of Atlanta and obtained his B.S in Industrial Management from Georgia Tech. He also holds four US Patents.
Tommy Cunningham, PhD.
Co- Founder & Chief Operating Officer - Board Member
Dr. Cunningham’s career goal is to develop and commercialize evidence based medical technologies that will provide patients access to the best possible care without prohibitive costs. Experiences and formal training include both private sector and academic settings in mechanical engineering, biomechanics, medical device design, clinical testing and IP development. He holds a Ph.D. and MS in Biomechanics from the University of Kentucky as well as a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He has presented his works at local, national and international conferences and has been awarded ten US Patents in various technologies to measure and rehabilitate the musculoskeletal system.
Gilson Capilouto, PhD.
Co-Founder & Chief Clinical Officer - Board Member
Dr. Capilouto is a tenured professor at the University of Kentucky and has over 30 years of experience in clinical practice and research with the last 15 focused in the NICU. She also has 20 years of experience as an owner operator of a speech pathology private practice. Dr. Capilouto has published and presented extensively with over 50 peer reviewed publications and 40 national and international presentations. In 2012 she was elected Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association in recognition of outstanding contribution to the field of speech-language pathology. Dr. Capilouto leads a clinical research team to further study protocols and potential uses for NFANT in clinical practice.
William D. Rhine, MD
Acting Chief, Division on Neonatal and Developmental Medicine, Professor, Pediatrics (Neonatology) Stanford University School of Medicine
Dr. William Rhine received his MD at Stanford University; after completing his residency and fellowship training there, he rose through its faculty ranks and is now a Professor of Pediatrics. He was the Medical Director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital (LPCH) from 2000-2016, and now serves as the Acting Chief of the Division of Neonatal and Developmental Medicine at Stanford. Dr. Rhine has conducted research and published in over 50 journal publications and 13 book chapters in several areas, including mechanisms of neurological injury (e.g. bilirubin and hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy), extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation and nitric oxide for respiratory failure, and neonatal brain injury. Since 2000, Dr. Rhine has served on California Perinatal Quality Care Collaborative boards, contributing to several Quality Indicator toolkits.
Healthcare Executive & Board Member
Terri Kline is a healthcare executive with a blend of payer and provider experience in growth, turnaround, and M&A for development-stage to mature organizations. She has diverse Board governance experience.
Ms. Kline currently provides Board leadership, strategic consulting, due diligence, and interim management services. Currently, Ms. Kline serves on the Boards of Directors of LaunchPoint and Presbyterian Health Plan an on the Advisory Boards of NFANT and Medivo. She received a BA in Biology from Kalamazoo College and a MPH from the University of Michigan.

Mr. Larkin is a seasoned Sr. Executive who has successfully elevated multiple companies to market leading position. He has over 17 years of experience commercializing medical devices. Mr. Larkin has built and managed sales forces driving revenues to over $150M for Advanced Cardiovascular Systems (Guidant). He also brings 18 years of extensive experience in financial services raising and managing over $6 Billion in capital.

Mr. Licata is currently the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Synergy Leadership, LLC, a firm specializing in Board & CEO advisory services in the areas of corporate strategy, sales advancement performance improvement, operational full potential, and customer value creation. He also serves as a board director of Sanmina (NASDAQ: SANM) since August 2007 and holds a chair position for Healpros, Inc, a healthcare company specializing in SAAS healthcare delivery and diagnostic services for diabetic care.
